West Bengal Public Service Commission, WBPSC, Applications in the prescribed format given below are invited from Indian Citizens and such other Nationals as are declared eligible by Government of India for recruitment to the under mentioned posts. Some Posts are permanent and other posts are temporary but likely to be permanent Post : General Manager, Deputy Director, Assistant Director, Inspector of Factories, Joint Director, Assistant Engineer, Veterinary Officer

1. General Manager District Industries Centre / Deputy Director of Micro & Small scale Enterprises :
No of post : 02 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2014.
Scale of Pay : PB-4A Rs. 15600 to 42000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Second class Master’s Degree with Anthropology/ Sociology/ Economics from a recognized University and five years research experience amongst the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes of West Bengal and also Knowledge of Bengali/ Nepali.

2. Assistant Director :
No of post : 27 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years as on 01.01.2014.
Scale of Pay : PB-4A Rs. 15600 to 42000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Engineering or Technology or second class Master’s Degree in Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Economics/ Commerce or equivalent qualifications from a recognized University three years experience in promotion and development of Cottage & Small Scale Industries.

3. Inspector of Factories :
No of post : 05 Posts
Age Limit : Not more than 35 years on 01.01.2014.
Scale of Pay : PB-4A Rs. 15600 to 42000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent; At least 05 years experience in an Engineering Workshop or Plant of repute.

4. Joint Director :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not more than 52 years on 01.01.2014.
Scale of Pay : PB-4A Rs. 15600 to 42000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) A post graduate degree in Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.), (ii) At least 08 years’ experience in field in eradication of disease, (iii) At least 04 years’ experience in disease investigation and eradication works, (iv) At least 04 years’ experience in a biological production centre, (v) At least 02 years’ experience as head of the office and D.D.O. in any of the above capacities or separately, (vi) Knowledge of Bengali/Nepali and English – spoken & written & (vii) Registration with the West Bengal Veterinary Council under Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984.
Desirable : (i) Ph.D. in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Bio-Chemistry or such allied subjects considered necessary for production of Veterinary Biologicals, diagnosis and disease eradication. A candidate with outstanding academic record will be preferred & (ii) A degree or diploma in Business Management of a University recognized by All India Council of Technical Education.

5. Assistant Engineer :
No of post : 22 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 32 years as on 01.01.2014.
Scale of Pay : PB-4A Rs. 15600 to 42000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and One year’s Post-Graduate practical training or study or research or practical engineering experience.

6. Veterinary Officer :
No of post : 06 Posts
Age Limit : 32 years as on 01.01.2014.
Scale of Pay : PB-4A Rs. 15600 to 42000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V Sc. & A.H.) or Veterinary Science (B.V. Sc.) from a recognized University / Institute.

How to apply for above post :
The candidates must submit one copy of his/her recent passport size photograph duly signed by him/her which should be pasted on the first page in the space provided for the purpose in the application form. In cases of Preliminary Examination / Screening Tests, an identical copy of the photograph will be required for pasting on the Attendance Sheet to be sent by this office along with the Admit Card. CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION by The 24th September, 2014.

Fees/Application Fee:
Candidates must enclose with the application a fee of Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred and ten) only by Indian Postal Order and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary, Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00-105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”. The Postal Orders should be made payable at G.P.O., Kolkata.
