Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, is set up by the Government of India  to facilitate Application  Research in the Country in the field of Wireless Telecommunication and to increase the  active role of India in global standards as well as, at the same time address specific technological needs of DOT / Sponsor / Industries. Vodafone-Essar is its main sponsors. The centre is an academic partner of Vodafone Global R&D. Inviting young researchers to lead innovation in Next Generation Cellular Network  research at Vodafone Essar-IIT Centre of Excellence in Telecommunications (VEICET), IIT Kharagpur.

Project:
1. Speech Recognition on VOIP:  Positions – One SRF/JRF,  Background Desired – Signal Processing, Communications.
2. Energy Efficient Radio for 4G Cellular: Positions – Five PDF/ SRF / JRF, Background Desired – Signal Processing, Communications / DSP/ FPGA.
3. Cognitive Radio Spectrum Sharing: Positions – Three PDF/SRF / JRF, Background Desired – Communications, Signal Processing.
4. 4G Cellular Access Network: Positions – Five PDF/ SRF / JRF, Background Desired – Communications, Signal Processing.
5. Control of Wind Energy Conversion: Positions – One SRF, Background Desired –  Power Electronic Circuits, Electric Machines & Control.
6. Renewable hybrid energy power plant: Positions – Two SRF, Background Desired – Energy systems, Power electronic circuits.
7. Next Generation Wireless Internet: Positions – Three PDF/SRF, Background Desired – Communications, Networking.
8. ptimal backbone network layout: Positions –One SRF/JRF, Background Desired – Communications, Computer networks, Reliability Engineering.

SRF/ JRF/ PDF : 21 Posts, Duration : 3-4 years, Pay Scale: Rs.20000 to 35000, Qualification : Retiref Professors, Professionals, PhD and B.Tech. in relevant areas, M.Tech./ MS in relevant area (ECE/ CS/ EE), BE/ B.Tech. in relevant area (ECE/ CS/ EE) ect.
