NIO invites applications from Indian Nationals for placement in the following scientific and technical positions. post : Senior Scientist, Scientist, Engineering, Ocean Sciences, Technical Assistant, Technical Officer

1. Senior Scientist (Ocean Sciences) :
No of post : 02 posts
Age Limit : Maximum 37 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : PhD on a topic related to Ocean Sciences with minimum 2 years’ post-doctoral research experience in aquatic biogeochemistry / impact of global change on marine environment.

2. Scientist (Science / Engineering) :
No of post : 05 posts
Age Limit : Maximum 32 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : ME / M.Tech / PhD (Science / Engineering) on a topic related to any branch of Oceanography (Marine Physics, Marine Geology & Geophysics, Marine Chemistry, Marine Biology, Marine Instrumentation, Environmental Sciences and Ocean Engineering). PhD submitted in these subjects may also be considered.

3. Scientist (Ocean Sciences) :
No of post : 13 posts
Age Limit : Maximum 32 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : PhD on a topic related Ocean Sciences. PhD submitted in Ocean Sciences may also be considered.

4. Junior Engineer Group III Grade (1) :
No of post : 01 post
Age Limit : Maximum 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : 10+2 with Science subjects followed by 1st class Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering of 3 years full time duration or 2/2.5 years full time duration in cases of lateral admission after 10+2, if applicable or its equivalent. The diploma course should be from the State Technical Board or Government approved or recognized Institution.

5. Technical Assistant Group III Grade (1) :
No of post : 08 posts
Age Limit : Maximum 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,
