National Physical Laboratory, NPL, Applications are invited from Indian nationals for filling up the following positions at National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi as per details given below. The National Physical Laboratory, a premier institution in the family of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), is devoted to R&D activities in the following major areas.
 
I. Scientist Gr.IV(4) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 37400 to 67000 Grade Pay Rs. 8700,
Age Limit : Upper Age limit not to exceed 45 years as on 26.02.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. in Physics (Experimental studies of semiconductor materials and devices) or its equivalent with atleast seven years of post Ph.D. research/industrial experience in processing and characterization of semiconductor devices.

II. Scientist Gr.IV(3) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs. 7600,
Age Limit : Upper Age limit not to exceed 40 years as on 26.02.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. in chemistry or its equivalent with at least four years of post Ph.D. research/ industrial experience in analytical chemistry.

III. Scientist Gr.IV(2) :
No of Post : 08 posts,
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.6600,
Age Limit : Upper Age limit not to exceed 35 years as on 26.02.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. in Physics or its equivalent with atleast one year post Ph.D. R&D experience in the relevant area.

IV. Scientist Gr.IV(1) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100/- grade pay 5400/-,
Age Limit : Upper Age limit not to exceed 35 years as on 26.02.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. in experimental Physics or its equivalent with atleast one year post Ph.D. R&D experience in the relevant area.

Completed applications in all respects, supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, experience etc. is to be sent in an envelope superscribing Application for the post of Scientist Group-IV (Post code) to the Controller of Administration, National Physical Laboratory, Dr. K.S. Krishnan Marg, New Delhi–110012, so as to reach on or before 26.02.2010.

Fees : Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in the form of crossed Demand Draft valid for at least 6 months in favour of Director, National Physical Laboratory payable at New Delhi.
