Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, IICT, is a multi-disciplinary Institute with proven strengths in Organic Chemistry (drugs, agrochemicals and industrial organics), Inorganic & Physical
Chemistry including Catalysis, Lipid Science & Technology, Organic Coatings & Polymers, Chemical Biology, Chemical Engineering and Design Engineering. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals in prescribed proforma for the following posts to provide core manpower of various specializations to the Laboratory research programs supported at National and International levels:
 
a. Scientist ‘B’ [Gr.IV(1)] :
No of Post : 06 posts (UR-4, ST-1, OBC-1,PH-1),
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1st Class M.Sc. in Molecular Biology or Genetics; OR Ph.D in Molecular Biology or Genetics (preferably Drosophila genetics) OR Ph.D with post doctoral experience in basic molecular biology techniques such as Real time PCR, Confocal microscopy, screening of small molecules using Drosophila as model organism and general fly handling.
Age Limit : Candidate should not exceed 35 years,
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/-,

b. Scientist ‘C’ [Gr.IV(2)] :
No of Post : 11 posts (UR-7, SC-1, ST-1, OBC-1),
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1st Class M.Sc. in Molecular Biology or Cell Biology OR Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or Cell Biology, OR Ph.D. with post doctoral experience in basic molecular biology and cell biology. Good knowledge of experimental techniques such as Real time PCR, Confocal microscopy.
Age Limit : Candidate should not exceed 35 years,
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 6600/-,

c. Scientist ‘E1’ [Gr.IV(3)] :
No of Post : 09 posts (UR-7, OBC-2),
Essential Qualification & Experience :1st Class B.E./B.Tech.(Mechanical Engineering) OR M.E. / M.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) And Knowledge of software like FLUENT, ANSYS, MATLAB. Capability of
writing own codes for problem solving.
Age Limit : Candidate should not exceed 40 years,
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 7600/-,

d. Scientist ‘EII’ [Gr.IV(4)] :
No of Post : 03 posts (UR-3),
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1st Class M.Sc. in Oils & Fats/Chemistry with spl. in Organic Chemistry /1st Class B.E /B.Tech. (Oil Technology) OR M.E /M.Tech. (Oil Technology)/Ph.D. in relevant subject with post doctoral experience. Exposure in newer methodologies of vegetable oil processing as well as to modern aspects of oleo chemistry; Familiarity with the analysis of oils and fats with good knowledge of handling various analytical equipments. Good communication skills.
Age Limit : Candidate should not exceed 45 years,
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 37400 to 67000 grade pay Rs. 8700/-,

e. Scientist ‘F’ [Gr.IV(5)] :
No of Post : 04 posts (UR-4),
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1st Class M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech. in CS/IT or 1st Class in MCA. Programming experience in languages like C, C++, Java and databases. Programming experience in languages like C, C++, Java and databases, Like Oracle, SQL Server is essential. Experience in web technologies like HTML, DHTML, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, J2EE, .NET etc is desirable.
Age Limit : Candidate should not exceed 50 years,
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 37400 to 67000 grade pay Rs. 8900/-,

How to apply for above post :
The application has to be submitted in prescribed proforma issued by IICT available on IICT obtained from the “Recruitment Section, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Tarnaka, Uppal Road, Hyderabad-500607”, by sending a request alongwith a self-addressed envelope of the size of 23×11 cms affixed with postage stamps of Rs.10/- OR can also submit online (can be done from 25.01.2010) followed by sending a hard copy of the online application bearing the serial number of the online application. The application/hard copy needs to be signed and supported by attested copies of the certificates along with DD should be forwarded to Director, IICT, Hyderabad, on or before 02.03.2010.

Fees : Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in case of OBC/UR candidates, in the form of Demand Draft valid for atleast 6 months, drawn in favour of Director, Indian Institute of Chemical Technology,
payable at Hyderabad.

Last Date of Application Submission Online : (1) Online application can be done from 25.01.2010/The application/hard copy needs to be signed and supported by attested copies of the certificates along with DD should be forwarded to Director, IICT, Hyderabad, on or before 02.03.2010.
