Indian School of Mines, ISM, Established in 1926, which offers B.Tech in Computer Science & Engg, Electrical, Electronics, Environmental Science & Engg., Mechanical, Mineral, Mining, Mining Machinery and Petroleum Engineering, and M.Tech, MSc, MSc Tech, MPhil, MBA and Ph.D programs in the areas of Engineering, Earth Sciences, Basic & Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences  and  Management Studies, ISM, invites application from Indian nationals for the following  reserved positions for SC/ST/OBC candidates :
 
1. Hindi Officer :
No of Post : 01 post (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay : Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 40 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : MA in Hindi  with  at least  60% marks and  English as one of the subjects at Graduate level, and  five years experience in the lower grade as Hindi Officer / Translator / Hindi Teacher with adequate knowledge of both Hindi &English. Knowledge of working on Computer in Hindi is essential or Persons working in equivalent grade as Hindi Officer  or as Hindi Translator in the  next lower grade  may be considered for appointment on deputation for a period of 3 years provided they fulfil  the prescribed qualification.

2. Supervisor (Electrical) :
No of Post : 01 post (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay : Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 35 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Electrical Engineering  with  at least 55% marks and five years of  experience in the relevant subject. Basic knowledge of computer is essential.

3. Senior Technical Assistant :
No of Post : 05 posts (4-OBC, 1-SC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay : Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 35 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. with at least 55% marks and five years of experience in relevant subjects or B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree in the relevant branch of Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Telecommunication) with 55% marks and five   years of experience in relevant areas. Basic knowledge of working on computer is essential.

4. Senior Scientific Assistant :
No of Post : 02 posts (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay : Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 35 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. with at least 55% marks and five years of experience in relevant subjects. Basic knowledge of computer is essential.

5. Technical Assistant :
No of Post : 06 posts (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in relevant branch of Engineering  (Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation / Telecommunication) with at least 55% marks and three years experience Or B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent degree in relevant branch of Engineering (Mechanical /Electrical/ Electronics/Instrumentation/Telecommunication) with at least 55% marks. Basic knowledge of computer is essential.

6. Technical Assistant (Photography) :
No of Post : 01 post (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Photography from recognized institution with  at least 55% marks and one year experience in a unit of repute on Camera  work and in preparation of slides, microfilms, transparency sheets, photostat and enlargement copies, including dark room jobs. Digital photography with knowledge of processing with computer.

7. Scinetific Assistant :
No of Post : 04 posts (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. with at least 55% marks and 2 years experience Or M.Sc. in relevant branch of Science subject with at least 55% marks. Basic knowledge of computer is essential.

8. Semi Professional Assistant (Lib.) :
No of Post : 02 posts (1-OBC, 1-ST),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : BA/B.com/B.Sc. with  B. Lib. at least 55% marks. Basic knowledge of working on computer is essential.

9. Programmer :
No of Post : 01 post (OBC),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering)/MCA/M.Tech. (Computer Application)/M.Sc. (Maths & Computing)/B.Tech. (IT)/M.Sc. (IT)/M.Sc. (Computing)/ with 55%  marks or equivalent.

Fees : Demand draft of Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of Registrar, Indian School of Mines, along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 50/-) envelope of 30 cmx12cm size. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from paying application fee.
