Damodar Valley Corporation, one of the premier power utilities in India engaged in Thermal/Hydel Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution with its Head Quarters in Kolkata, invites applications from Indian citizens only for its various power projects / offices / hospitals / dispensaries spread across the state of West Bengal and Jharkhand. To fill up the following posts, DVC is looking for young and promising candidates having good academic record to join the organization.
 
i. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Elecrical) :
No of Post : 09 posts,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 29 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 4 (four) years’ full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering & Technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics from any recognized college / Institute / University, approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates. 5% marks is relaxable for SC & ST candidates.

ii. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical) :
No of Post : 06 posts,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 29 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 4 (four) years’ full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering & Technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics from any recognized college / Institute / University, approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates. 5% marks is relaxable for SC & ST candidates.

iii. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 29 years as on 01.01.2010.

iv. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Communication) :

Essential Qualification & Experience : 4 (four) years’ full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering & Technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics from any recognized college / Institute / University, approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates. 5% marks is relaxable for SC & ST candidates.

v. Accounts Officer/ Finance Officer :
No of Post : 03 posts,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 30 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Passed final examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Cost & Works Accounts of India or MBA Degree / PG Diploma (at least 2 years full time) equivalent to degree in Finance from AICTE approved University/Institution.

vi. Medical Officer :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 40 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and obtained from a recognized Medical College/University & one year experience as a medical practitioner after internship.

vii. Assistant Gr.II (Cashier) :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-1 RS. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay Rs. 3200/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 32 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Graduate in Commerce with 5(five) years’ experience in Cash Handling and Reconciliation of Bank Accounts. Desirable: Knowledge of the use of Computer.
