Central Sceintific Instrument Organisation, CSIO, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – CSIR, is one of the National Laboratories of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, a premier agency established by Government of India to undertake scientific and industrial research in the country. Organisation is set to recruit in its ranks young and dynamic persons with brilliant academic records in the following positions:

A. Scientist- Gr. IV (1) : 01 post (OBC), Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.5400, Maximum Age Limit : Should not more than 38 years as on 1st June, 2009. Essential Qualification : 1st Class B.E. / B.Tech in Electronic / Electronics & Communication/ Electronics.
B. Technical Assistant Gr. III(1) : 02 posts, Pay Scale: 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200,  Maximum Age Limit : Should not more than 31 years as on 1st June, 2009. Essential Qualification : 1st Class 3-Year Diploma/ Mechanical Engineering/Instrument Technology/Die & Mould/Mechatronics.
C. Technician Gr. II (1) : 10 posts, Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.1900, Maximum Age Limit : Should not more than 28 years as on 1st June, 2009. Essential Qualification : Mechanical
Engineering/Instrument Technology/Die & Mould/Mechatronics and ITI certificate in Mechanical trade / Electrical trade/ Refrigeration/ Computer/ Carpentry trade.
D. Support Staff Gr. 1(1) : 03 posts, Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 grade Pay Rs.1800, Maximum Age Limit :  Should not more than 28 years as on 1st June, 2009. Essential Qualification : 10th Standard/SSC with 50% marks in aggregate.
E. Assistant (G) Gr.III : 01 post, Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.1900, Maximum Age Limit : Should not more than 31 years as on 1st June, 2009. Essential Qualification : 10+2/XII or its equivalent and typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi typewriting.
F. Assistant (S&P) Gr.III : 01 post, Pay Scale: Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.1900, Maximum Age Limit : Should not more than 31 years as on 1st June, 2009. Essential Qualification : 10+2/XII or its equivalent and typing speed of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m. in Hindi typewriting.

The application form duly filled on the prescribed application form affixing recent passport size photograph send in favour of “Director, Central Scientific Instruments Organization” and payable at the Chandigarh-160030, branch of State Bank of India (Code No.1443). on or before 1st June, 2009 by 5.30 P.M.

Fees: Application fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) (candidates belonging to SC/ST category/Physically Handicapped and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee) in the form of Demand Draft drawn by State Bank of India. In favour of “Director, Central Scientific Instruments Organization” and payable at the Chandigarh branch of State Bank of India.
