UPSC invites application on prescribed forms by 14/08/2008 (21st August, 2008 for the candidates from far flung areas) for recruitment of Junior Works Manager (Mechanical) in Ordanance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence. Civilian in Defence Services

No. of Vacancy: 100 posts (SC-17, ST-7, OBC-30, UR-46 (PH-3))
Scale of Pay: Rs. 7450-225-11500/-
Qualification: Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.

Selection Process: A Written Objective Type Test (Multiple Choice Questions) will be conducted followed by Interview for selection of candidates to the posts. Marks obtained in written test will be added to the marks obtained in the interview to decide the final result. However, the Commission at its discretion, may short-list the applicants for interview based upon a reasonable criteria e.g. higher qualifications and / or experience in place of written test.
