Staff Selection Commission, SSC, Application are invited for the following 98 Group-B posts in Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India :
 
1. Stenographer Grade-II :
No of Post : 01 post (for Directorate of Forensic Science),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 and 27 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Candidates must have passed the matriculation examination of a University incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or an examination held
by the State Education Board at the end of secondary school course for the award of school leaving certificate or otherwise possess any qualification which has been recognized by the govt. for the purpose of admission to the examination. Possessing a speed of 100 words per minute in shorthand (English/Hindi).

2. Senior Scientific Assistant :
No of Post : 01 post (for Directorate of Forensic Science),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.

3. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer/ Grade-I (Tech.) :
No of Post : 03 posts (for Intelligence Bureau),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4600/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or M.Sc. in Microbiology or Chemistry or Bio-Technology or M.Sc. in Space Engineering and Rocketry or M.Sc. in Physics with Optics or Nuclear Physics as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent.

4. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer/ Grade-I (Wireless Telegraphy) :
No of Post : 07 posts (for Intelligence Bureau),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4600/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunication Engineering or Computer Science and Engineering or Master’s Degree in Computer Applications or B.E./B.Tech. in Information Technology or M.Sc. in Physics with Wireless Telegraphy as a subject from a recognized University or equivalent.

5. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer/ Grade-I (GEQD) :
No of Post : 01 post (for Intelligence Bureau),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4600/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Physics of a recognized University or equivalent. One year practical experience in comparison of handwriting and typewriting.

6. Senior Investigator :
No of Post : 01 post (for Bureau of Police Research & Development),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Social Work or Sociology or Criminology of a recognized University or equivalent. Two years’ experience of collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation of statistical data.
 
7. Stenographer Grade-C :
No of Post : 19 posts (for Bureau of Police Research & Development),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 and 27 years as on 1st January, 2010.

Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 and 27 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matriculation or equivalent and 2nd Class Certificate of competency by Ministry of Communications or equivalent. OR Passed Grade II Trade Test of Wireless Operators conducted by Army, Navy or Air force. OR B.Sc with physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from recognized University. Typewriting at a speed of 30 words per minute.

9. Radio Technician :
No of Post : 13 posts (for Directorate of Coordination Police Wireless),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 and 27 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Graduate with Communication or Electronics as one of the subjects. OR Graduate with Physics and Mathematics and having at least one year’s Practical
experience of Radio or Electronics.

10. Cipher Operator :
No of Post : 17 posts (for Directorate of Coordination Police Wireless),
Pay Scale : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 and 27 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matriculation or its equivalent with English as a subject. Typing speed of 30 words per minute in English. Three years experience in cryptographic duties.
 
11. Senior Scientific Assistant (Physics) :
No of Post : 02 posts (for Directorate of Forensic Science),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Physics/Biophysics/Forensic Science with Physics as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or
equivalent.

12. Senior Scientific Assistant (Chemistry) :
No of Post : 02 posts (for Directorate of Forensic Science),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Chemistry/Biochemistry/Forensic Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or
equivalent.

13. Senior Scientific Assistant (Ballistics) :
No of Post : 01 post (for Directorate of Forensic Science),
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years as on 1st January, 2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Physics/Mathematics/Forensic Science with Physics or Mathematics as one of the subjects at Bachelor of Science level from a recognized University or equivalent.

Fees : Rs. 50/-(Rupees fifty only). No fee for Woman Candidate, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and ExS. However, no fee concession would be admissible to ExS who would otherwise be considered as general candidate.
