Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology, RGIPT, An Institute of national importance under Act No. 54/2007 approved by Parliament of India along the lines of IITs. Government of India, through the Ministry of Petroleum and Natual Gas has setup Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) at Rae-Barelli, UP on the lines of IIT. Applications are invited for following posts :

i. Registrar : 01 post (UR-01), Pay Scale : Rs.37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs.8700, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 55 years as on 1st July 2009.
ii. Assistant Registrar : 03 posts (UR-01, SC-01, OBC-01), Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Gr. Pay Rs.5400, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 55 years as on 1st July 2009.
iii. Asstt. Placement Officer : 01 post (UR-01), Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Gr.Pay Rs.5400, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 55 years as on 1st July 2009.
iv. Asstt. Executive Engineer (Electrical) : 01 post (UR-01), Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Gr.Pay Rs.5400, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 55 years as on 1st July 2009.
v. Asstt. Executive Engineer (Civil) : 01 post (UR-01), Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Gr.Pay Rs.5400, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 55 years as on 1st July 2009.
vi. Accountant : 01 post (UR-01), Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 Gr.Pay Rs.4200, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 55 years as on 1st July 2009.
vii. Senior Library Information Assistant : 01 post (OBC-01), Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 Gr.Pay Rs.4200, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 32 years as on 1st July 2009.
viii. Junior Technical Superintendent : 02 posts (UR-01,OBC-01), Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 Gr.Pay Rs.4200, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 32 years as on 1st July 2009.
ix. Physical Training Instructor : 01 post (UR-01), Pay Scale : Rs.9300-34800 Gr.Pay Rs.4200, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 32 years as on 1st July 2009.
x. Junior Assistant (Hostel) : 01 post (SC-01), Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 Gr.Pay Rs.2000, Maximum age Limit : Should not exceed 32 years as on 1st July 2009.

Tenure: The appointment shall initially be on contract for a term of 5 years. Thereafter, it can be regularized, or renewed on similar term(s) or terminated. The retirement age is sixty years.
