Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Applications in prescribed forms are invited for the following posts at this Institute:-
 
I. Superintending Engineer :
No of Post : 01 Post On deputation,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Civil Engineering with experience in coordination & Supervision of construction and maintenance of Civil works including Public Health.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 37400 to 69000 Grade Pay Rs. 8700/-,
Age Limit : Maximum age 32 years as on 31st March 2010.

II. Deputy Registrar :
No of Post : 01 Post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Post Graduate degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. At least 5 years of experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent in Administration / Finance / Accounts / Establishment in Scientific organizations / Universities / Technological Institutions.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/-,
Age Limit : Maximum age 32 years as on 31st March 2010.

III. Senior Library Information Assistant :
No of Post : 02 Posts (OBC-1),
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree from a recognized university or equivalent Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma in Library Science of a recognized University / Institute or equivalent obtained after graduation. Experience of two years in a Library / Computerisation of a Library or one year certificate in computer application from a recognized institution or equivalent.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800 Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Maximum age 32 years as on 31st March 2010.

IV. Junior Superintendent :
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree OR Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years experience as Secretary / Personal Assistant of Senior level officer(s). Knowledge of computer office applications & secretariat practices with a minimum speed of 100 wpm in stenography and 40 wpm in typing.

Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Maximum age 32 years as on 31st March 2010.

V. Junior Accountant :
No of Post : 02 Posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Com + 2 years relevant experience + knowledge of accounting software.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 : Rs. 5200 to 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/-,
Age Limit : Maximum age 27 years as on 31st March 2010.

VI. Junior Assistant :
No of Post : 03 Posts (SC-1, OBC-1),
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelors Degree with knowledge of computer office applications. Desirable: Minimum one year experience of working on computers on MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power point), HTML etc.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay  Rs. 2000/-,
Age Limit : Maximum age 27 years as on 31st March 2010.

Fees : DD/IPO of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) for Group ‘A’ post (i.e. for post from Sl. No. I to II) and DD/IPO of Rs. 50/- for posts from Sl. No. III to VI should be enclosed (drawn in favour of Registrar, IIT Ropar payable at Rupnagar, Punjab). No fee is required for SC/ST candidates.
