To the Regional / Sub Regional Office of the SSc depending upon the choice of the exam centre by the candidates. Staff Selection Commission, SSC, Looking for eligible candidates for the following Stenographer Grade-C & Grade-D examination for recruitment to the following posts : To the Regional / Sub Regional Office of the SSc depending upon the choice of the exam centre by the candidates.
Stenographer Grade-c and Grade-D :
Essential Qualification : 12th pass or higher secodary examination passed or equivalent. Must have speed at 100 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. respectively.
Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years as on 16.07.2010. i.e. the candidate must have been born not earlier than 17th July, 1983 and not later than 16th July, 1992. Relaxation in age as per rules.
NATIONALITY / CITIZENSHIP: A candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri
Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of
Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Application in the prescribed format shoould be send to the Regional / Sub Regional Office of the SSc depending upon the choice of the exam centre by the candidates. Filled application must reach To the Regional / Sub Regional Office of the SSc depending upon the choice of the exam centre by the candidateson or before 16.07.2010 at 05:00 PM. And (23.07.2010 for the candidates of far – flung areas).
Fees : Rs. 100/- (No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-Serviceman). Fee will be paid only in the form of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” These stamps are available at the counter of all Departmental Post Offices of the country.
Last Date of Application Submission : before 16.07.2010 at 05:00 PM. And (23.07.2010 for the candidates of far – flung areas).
