Applications are invited for selection of 21 (Twenty one) candidates (10 from
General Category, 6 from Scheduled Caste Category, 2 from Backward Class Category, 1 from B.C. (Ex-Serviceman) category, 1 from Ex-Serviceman (General) category and 1 from Physically Challenged Category of Locomotor or Orthopaedic Disability, for appointment to Punjab Superior Judicial Service by direct recruitment, in the State of Punjab through competitive examination under Rule 7(3)(c) of Superior Judicial Service Rules, 2007

Qualification:
Person who has been duly enrolled as an Advocate and has practised for a period not less than Seven years as on the last date of submission of applications i.e. 03.03.2008, may apply to the Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh not later than 03.03.2008

All the applications received earlier in response to this court’s advertisements/
notifications dated 19.12.2000, 30.1.2002 and 16.2.2004, stand filed and in case
any candidate, who had applied earlier in response to these advertisements/
notifications, intends to apply again, he/she will have to submit a fresh application. His/her eligibility will be considered as per this advertisement and he/she will not be entitled to claim any age relaxation.

The last date for submission of application forms for the Advocates enrolled
with the District/Sub-Divisional Bar Associations of Punjab, Haryana and U.T.,
Chandigarh is 25.02.2008. All such Advocates will submit the application forms in
the office of District and Sessions Judges concerned. However, all others would
send the application forms directly addressed to the Registrar General, Punjab &
Haryana High Court, Chandigarh in an envolope superscribed as “Application for the post of Additional District Judge in the State of Punjab”
before 03.03.2008 by 5.00 P.M.
