NIPER-Ahmedabad is looking for faculty of high caliber and motivation to face the challenge of building the institute into a centre of excellence. The overall focus is on building strong master’s, doctoral and postdoctoral programmes. However, current focus is on M.S.(Pharm.) programme.

Applications are invited for Professors, Assistant Professors, Associate Professors, Lecturers and Laboratory Assistants in Pharmaceutics, Natural Products and Biotechnology, and Assistant Librarian

Essential qualification and experience
1. Lecturer: Master’s degree in pharmacy/ science with experience, or Ph.D. in relevant area.
2. Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least 5 years teaching/ research / industrial experience with published work of high quality.
3. Associate Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience out of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
4. Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent grade at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience out of which at least 5 years should be at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor.
5. Laboratory Assistants: Masters in Biological sciences with relevant experience in industry or academics.
6. Assistant Librarians: B.Lib/M.Lib or Diploma with 2-3 years experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in post-graduate science/pharmacy colleges.

For faculty positions, experience in respective fields as below will be preferred.
§ Natural products: Good background in phytochemistry / synthetic chemistry of natural products and spectroscopy.
§ Pharmaceutics: Strong base in the development of new dosage forms. Design and execution of pre-formulation and formulations using newer concepts. Background in new drug delivery systems is desirable. Awareness in IPR and experience in evaluation of newer formulations will be added advantage.
§ Biotechnology: Strong background in cell and molecular biology and exposure to biotech derived therapeutics. Design and development of protein/DNA derived drugs. Experience in proteomics/genomics and in systems biology will be added advantage.
