National Institute of Technology, NIT, Applications in the prescribed format are invited from the Indian Nationals for the recruitment of the following Non-Faculty Posts Technical Assistant, Sports Officer, Principal, Executive Engineer, Medical Officer, Engineer, Laboratory Assistant, Accountant, Secretary, Stenographer in the Institute.

Technical Assistant :
No of post : 27 Posts (04-SC, 02-ST, 07-OBC, 14-UR)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class Bachelor’s (Honours) Degree in Sciences in relevant subject or equivalent grade from a recognized University / Institute.

2. Senior Students Activities & Sports Officer :
No of post : 01 Post (OBC)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-3: Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 8000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First Class Master’s Degree in Physical Education or in Sports Science with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade in point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record.

3. Principal Technical Officer :
No of post : 01 Post (UR)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-3: Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 7600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E. / B. Tech. Degree in Mechanical Engineering with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10 point scale or 60% marks) and consistently excellent academic record.

4. Executive Engineer :
No of post : 01 Post (UR)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-3: Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class degree or equivalent grade in Civil Engineering from a recognized University / Institute. 05 years’ experience in relevant field as Engineer/ Assistant Engineer (in PB-3 and GP of Rs. 5400/-) from CPWD/ State PWD or similar organization service / semi-Govt./ PSU/ Statutory or Autonomous organization / Universities / reputed Institute or organizations under Central / State Govt.

5. Medical Officer :
No of post : 01 Post (OBC)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-3: Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
Desirable : Post Graduate qualification, preferably MD, in General medicine

6. Assistant Engineer (Civil) :
No of post : 01 Post (On Deputation)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 36 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2: Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E. / B.Tech. in relevant field from a recognized University or Institute.

7. Junior Engineer (Civil) :
No of post : 02 Posts (UR-01, OBC-01)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2: Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class Diploma in Engineering in relevant field with excellent academic record.

8. Technician :
No of post : 19 Posts (04-SC), 02-ST, 02-OBC, 11-UR)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Senior secondary (10+2) from a recognized board and ITI Course of one year or higher duration in appropriate trade.

9. Laboratory Assistant :
No of post : 01 Post (UR-01)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. Degree in relevant field from a recognized University /Institute.

10. Students Activity & SportsAssistant :
No of post : 01 Post (UR-01)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or in Fine Arts (performing / visual arts) or Science or Arts from a recognized University or Institution.

11. Accountant :
No of post : 02 Posts (UR-02)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce with Honours in Accountancy / Finance or equivalent in grade from a recognized University or Institute.

12. Secretary :
No of post : 01 Post (UR-01)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 12th standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Minimum speed of 100 w.p.m. in Stenography.

13. Stenographer :
No of post : 04 Posts (01-OBC, 03-UR)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 2400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 12th standard pass or equivalent from a recognized Board or University. Minimum speed in short hand 80 w.p.m. in stenography.
Desirable : Proficiency in Computer Word processing and spread sheet with advance skills.

14. Junior Assistant :
No of post : 10 Posts (01-SC, 04-OBC, 05-UR)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 2000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 10+2 in any discipline with a minimum Typing speed of 35 w.p.m and proficiency in Computer Word Processing and Spread Sheet.
Desirable : Proficiency in other computer skills; stenography skills.

Fees/Application Fee:
A bank draft of Rs. 200/- towards application fee be sent along-with the downloaded application form (duly filled). The Application form and instruction sheet can be had from the General Section of the Institute on payment of `200/- by cash or by sending a Crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 250/- drawn in favour of Director, NIT Kurukshetra payable at SBI, NIT Kurukshetra (Code No. 6260) along-with a Self Addressed envelope (23×10 cm). SC/ST and PwD applicants are exempted from application fees irrespective of posts reserved for them.
