Indian Naval Academy, Technical Branch Applications are invited from unmarried Male candidates for grant of Permanent Commission (PC) in the Technical Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing July 2010 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfil condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.
 
Technical Branch (Engineering and Electrical) :
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E/ B.Tech. or equivalent in Electrical / Electronics /Mechanical/ Production / Aeronautical / Marine / Control/  Avionics/ Telecommunications/ Instrumentation from a institution recognised by AICTE with minimum 60% marks :
Age Limit : Between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 July 1985 to 01 January 1991; both dates inclusive) for Technical (GS) and Submarine Cadre (Engineering & Electrical),  and 21 to 25 years for Naval Architecture Cadre i.e 02 July 1985 to 01 July 1989.
Scale of Pay :
SUB LIEUTENANT to VICE ADMIRAL : PAY BANDS/SCALE PB-3/15600-39100/- GRADE PAY 5400/-,
VICE ADMIRAL : PAY BANDS/SCALE PB PB-4/37400-67000/- GRADE PAY 12000/-,
Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Technical Branches : Is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/willingness of the candidate.
Selection Mode :
Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male – 157 cms, 152 cms for Female with correlated weight.
Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision, 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.
