Short Service Commissioned, SSC, The Indian Navy select for a Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer in Technical Branch [General Service) (Engineering & Electrical branches)] and Technical Branch (Submarine Branch)  – January 2012 Course. Applications are invited from unmarried Indian Citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) Officer in Technical Branches (Engineering and Electrical) / Submarine Cadre of the Indian Navy for Course commencing January 2012 at NAVAC Ezhimala, Kerala.

Technical Branch Entry Course commencing January 2012 :

Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E/ B.Tech. (or equivalent) in Mechanical/ Marine/ Automotive/ Mechtronics/ Industrial & Production/ Metallurgy/ Aeronautical/ Aerospace/ Conrol/ Electrical/ Elecronics/ tele-Communication/ Instrumentation/ Insrumentation and Control/ Electronics and Instrumentation/ Elecronics and Communication/ Power Engineering/ Control System Engineering/ Power Electronics/ Computer Science Engineering from a institution recognised by AICTE with minimum 60% marks required :
Age Limit : Between 19 & 1/2 to 25 years (candidates to be born between 02 January 1987 to 01 July 1992; both dates inclusive) for Technical (GS) and Submarine Cadre (Engineering & Electrical)

Physical Fitness Standards :
Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male – 157 cms, 152 cms for Female with correlated weight.
Eye Sight : The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision, 6/24, 6/24 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

Short Service Commissioned : SSC is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirements and performance/ willingness of the candidate.
