1. Geologist Group A : (In Geological Survey of India)
No of post : 50 Posts
Age Limit : Between 21 to 32 years as on 01.08.2013
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration or Master’s Degree in Hydrology or Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

2. Assistant Geologist Grade-I Group B : (In Geological Survey of India)
No of post : 25 Posts
Age Limit : Between 21 to 32 years as on 01.08.201
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration or Master’s Degree in Hydrology or Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

3. Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A : (In Central Ground Water Board)
No of post : 33 posts
Age Limit : Between 21 to 35 years as on 01.08.2013
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration or Master’s Degree in Hydrology or Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

4. Assistant Hydrogeologists Group B : (In Central Ground Water Board)
No of post : 39 Posts
Age Limit : Between 21 to 30 years as on 01.08.2013
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology from a recognised University or Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration or Master’s Degree in Hydrology or Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

Physical Standards : candidates must be physically fit according to the physical standards for Indian Geologist’s Examination, 2009 as prescribed in the detailed advertisement.
