The Union Public Service commission, UPSC, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069.

The Union Public Service commission, UPSC, Examination commencing from 21st November, 2009 for recruitment to Grade IV of the Indian Economic Service (IES) and Indian Statistical Service (ISS). The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Indian Statistical/Economic Service Conditions of Elgibility:
1. Age Limit: Age should not below 21 years and must not have more than 30 years as on 1st January, 2009.
2. Educational Qualifications: For the Indian Economic Service (IES) must have obtained a Post – Graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economis/Business Economics/Econometrics. Indian Statistical Service (ISS) must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognised University.
3. Physical Standards: For both – As prescribed in the detailed advertisement.

The candidates must apply Application devised by the commission for its examination, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Ooffices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/-, All applications must reach the “Secretary, Union Public Service commission, Dholpur house, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069″ either by hand or by Post/Speed Post only or by courier, on or before 06.07.2009. For candidates of far-flung areas and abroad the last date is 13th July, 2009

Fees: Rs. 100/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
