Department of Agriculture, A&N Administration, Applications are invited from eligible candidates to fill the vacancies of the following post in the Department of Agriculture, A&N Administration, Port Blair. post : Agriculture Field Assistant, Soil Conservation Field Assistant, Laboratory Assistant

1. Agriculture Field Assistant :
No of post : 16 Posts (10-General, 06-OBC)
Classification : General Central Services group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)
Age Limit for direct recruit : Between 18-33 years for male and 18-38 years for female candidates (Relaxable for Govt. Servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt.) form time to time.
Scale of Pay : PB-I Rs. 5200 to 20200/- per month + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Pass in Senior Secondary School (10+2) in science stream with Biology as one of the subject from a recognized Board / University. Should qualify in written test to be conducted by the Staff Selection Commission / Administration.

2. Soil Conservation Field Assistant :
No of post : 01 post (OBC-1)
Classification : General Central Services group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)
Age Limit for direct recruit : Between 18-33 years for male and 18-38 years for female candidates (Relaxable for Govt. Servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt.) form time to time.
Scale of Pay : PB-I Rs. 5200 to 20200/- per month + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) in Science with Biology as one of the subject from a recognized Board / Institute. OR Matriculation or its equivalent with ITI Trade Certificate course in Survey or Draughtsmanship.

3. Laboratory Assistant :
No of post : 01 post (OBC-1)
Classification : General Central Services group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted (Non-Ministerial)
Age Limit for direct recruit : Between 18-33 years for male and 18-38 years for female candidates (Relaxable for Govt. Servant up to 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Govt.) form time to time.
Scale of Pay : PB-I Rs. 5200 to 20200/- per month + Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) in Science with Biology as one of the subject from a recognized Board / Institute. OR Diploma in Laboratory Technicians course from recognized Institution.
Desirable: Bachelor’s degree in science with Botany as one of the subject from a recognized university or equivalent. 02 years experience ion the relevant field.
