Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture Sciences & Technology, SKUAST, Is an agricultural university/department or agricultural institution or a Government department where extension work constitutes one of  the main activities. Applications on prescribed format are invited for following vacant positions:

A. Director Extension Education : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.16400-22400 + Rs.400/- special pay, Essential Qualification & experience: Doctorate degree in any branch of Agriculture/Veterinary or allied Sciences 15 years experience of extension/research/teaching out of which 7 years should be in the rank of Professor or equivalent in an agricultural university/department or agricultural institution or a Government department where extension work constitutes one of  the main activities.

B. Professor/ Chief Scientist : 09 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 16400-22400, Essential Qualification & experience: Doctorate degree in the subject concerned. 12 years teaching and/or research experience (not below the rank of Assistant Professor) in the concerned subject, out of which 05 years should be in the rank of Associate Professor or equivalent. Good research experience as evidenced by publications.

C. Estate Officer : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.16400-20000, Essential Qualification & experience: Second Class Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, 20 years experience of Civil Works in University, Institution, Project, Government, PWD, out of which 10 years in the rank of Deputy Estates Officer / Executive Engineer.

D. Associate Professor/ Sr. Scientist & Equivalent : 03 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 12000-420-18300, Essential Qualification & experience: Doctorate degree in the subject concerned. 07 years experience of teaching and/or research in the concerned subject, out of which 04 years should be in the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent.

E. Research Engineer/ Associate Proessor : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-18300, Essential Qualification & experience: Doctorate degree in the subject concerned. 07 years experience of teaching and/or research in the concerned subject, out of which 04 years should be in the rank of Assistant Professor or equivalent.
F. Assistant Professor/ Junior Scientist & equivalent : 10 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-275-13500, Essential Qualification & experience: High Second Class Master’s degree or equivalent Post-graduate qualification in the concerned subject. Two years experience of teaching/research or extension education as the case may be. Or Ph.D degree in the subject concerned. Experience relaxable for candidates having qualifed National Eligibility Test (NET) in the concerned subject.

Age Limit for all Positons: Not less than 20 years and more than 55 years as on 01-01-2009, upper age limit relaxable in  case of persons already in employment of the SKUAST-K, and for the post of  Officer/Professor and equivalent.
