Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, VSSC, is the largest establishment under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space. VSSC is engaged in the development of Sounding Rockets, Launch Vehicles, Space Craft Subsystems and other Space related fundamental research activities. VSSC is the lead Centre for carrying out all the major Launch Vehicle Projects of ISRO such as PSLV, GSLV, GSLV MkIII, Re-usable Launch Vehicle. VSSC invites application for the following posts: 
 
a. Technical Assistant:
No of Post: 19 posts, (Mechnical-15, Refrigeration & AC-1, Computer Sc. & Engg.-1, Videography / Cinematography-2) ,
Scale of Pay: Rs.9300 to 34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-,
Essential Qualification: First Class Diploma Engineering in desired trade/Refrigeration and A/C / Computer Science and Engineering / Videography / Cinematography.
Age Limit: 35 years as on 07.08.2009, 38 years for OBC and 40 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. Ex-Servicemen & Persons With Disability (PWD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Govrnment rules.
b. Scientific Assistant:
No of Post: 02 posts,
Scale of Pay: Rs.9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200,
Essential Qualification: First Class B.Sc. in Physics/ Chemistry.
Age Limit: 35 years as on 07.08.2009, 38 years for OBC and 40 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. Ex-Servicemen & Persons With Disability (PWD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Govrnment rules.
c. Primary Teacher : 
No of Post: 03 posts (Hindi-2, English-1),
Scale of Pay: Rs.9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200/-
Age Limit: 30 years as on 07.08.2009, 33 years for OBC and 35 years in the case of SC/ST candidates. Ex-Servicemen & Persons With Disability (PWD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Govrnment rules.
