National Institute of Health & Family Welfare, NIHFW, The Institute invites applications for the following posts : Professor (Epidemiology), Assistant Professor (Statistics & Demography), Assistant Professor (RBM-Clinic), Assistant Professor (Print Media), Assistant Professor (P&E), Assistant Professor (Sociology), Medical Officer (Male) (Reproductive Bio-Medicine)

1. Professor (Epidemiology) :
No of post : 01 Post for UR
Age Limit : Upto 50 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000/- per month + AGP Rs. 10000/- + NPA.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Post-graduate degree such as MD (CHA)/MD (PSM)/MD (Community Medicine) or an equivalent degree of a recognized University / Institute. Four years experience as Reader/Associate Professor in the subject concerned in a Medical College or in an equivalent grade in a research/training institution.

2. Assistant Professor (Statistics & Demography) :
No of post : 01 Post for OBC
Age Limit : Upto 35 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month + AGP Rs. 6000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with atleast 50% marks in Master’s degree in Statistics or Demography or Mathematics with Statistics from a recognized University / Institution.

3. Assistant Professor (RBM-Clinic) :
No of post : 01 Post for OBC
Age Limit : Upto 35 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month + AGP Rs. 6000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Post-graduate degree in Surgery/ Medicine / Obst. & Gynae or equivalent degree from a recognized University / Institution. Atleast 3 years teaching / training / research experience as Demonstrator / Tutor / Registrar / Resident in the Medicine, Surgery Obst. / Gynae.

4. Assistant Professor (Print Media) :
No of post : 01 Post for OBC
Age Limit : Upto 35 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month + AGP Rs. 6000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A doctoral degree in communication/any branch of Health Communication and Extension Education from a recognized University / Institute.
Desirable : Teaching experience at college or University level.

5. Assistant Professor (P&E) :
No of post : 01 post (UR – Leave vacancy, likely to be regular)
Age Limit : Upto 35 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month + AGP Rs. 6000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A doctoral degree in communication/any branch of Health Communication and Extension Education from a recognized University / Institute.

Desirable : Teaching experience at college or University level.

6. Assistant Professor (Sociology) :
No of post : 01 Post for UR
Age Limit : Upto 35 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month + AGP Rs. 6000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A doctoral degree in any branch of Sociology from a recognized University / Institution.
Desirable : Experience in the field of Health and Family Welfare.

7. Medical Officer (Male) (Reproductive Bio-Medicine):
No of post : 01 Post for UR
Age Limit : Upto 40 years as on 1st July, 2013 (Relaxable upto 5 years for govt. servants and employees of autonomous Institutes under Govt.)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month + AGP Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : One years’ house job in Paediatrics / Obstetrics and Gynaecology / Medicine / Maternal & Child Health Care Surgery.
Desirable : At least 3 years experience in providing in the field of family planning / including Infertility / Obstetrics & Gynaecology/ Surgery/ Paediatrics/ Maternal and Child Health Care or any other related field in a recognized Institution.
