Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, IITM, Dr. Homi Bhabha Road, Pashan, Pune- 411008. Maharastra
Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, IITM, is an autonomous Institute fully funded and administered by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. It functions as a National Centre for Research in Tropical Meteorology and has scientifically and academically stimulating environment for research in applied and fundamental aspects of ocean-land-atmosphere interactions in the tropics. IITM invits Sceintist E, D, C at Pune:
A. Scientist `E` : Pay Band : Rs. 37400-67000 Grade Pay Rs. 8700/-, Age Limit: Should not more than 45 years. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A Doctorate or equivalent in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics from a recognized university / institution with good scientific standing. A minimum of 8 years experience of research work (5 years of which should be after Ph.D.) and high capacity for guiding and coordinating research in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences.
B. Scientist `D` : Pay Band : Rs.15600 – 39100, Grade Pay Rs. 7600/-, Age Limit: Should not more than 40 years. Essential Qualifications & Experience: A Doctorate in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics from a recognized university/institution. A minimum of 6 years experience of research (2 years should be after Ph.D.) in Atmospheric and/or Oceanic Sciences (as evidenced by published papers).
C. Scientist `C` : Pay Band : Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-, Age Limit: Should not more than 35 years. Essential Qualifications & Experience: Master’s Degree preferably a Doctorate in Meteorology, Atmospheric Sciences, Oceanography, Physics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Electronics, B.E./ B. Tech./ M. Tech.(Electronics/Electrical Engineering) degree from a recognized university/institution. A minimum of 5 years experience of research in Atmospheric and/or Oceanic Sciences related to weather and climate (as evidenced by published papers).
