The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), established in 1958, is the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering and allied disciplines under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) which is an Autonomous Body under the Government of India. CMERI is looking for dynamic and creative people to do research in the categories. Candidates fulfilling the educational qualification, age etc. may apply in the prescribed proforma to the Administrative Officer :

1. Scientist in Group IV (2) : 09 posts, Pay Scale: Rs. 10000–325-15200/-, Age limit : 35 years
2. Scientist in Group IV (1) : 07 Posts, Pay Scale: Rs 8000–275-13500/-, Age limit : 35 years
3. Residential Medical Officer in Group III(4) : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/-, Age limit : 35 years
4. Technical Staff (Civil) in Gr. III(4) : 01 post, Pay Scale: Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/-, Age limit : 35 years
5. Technical Staff (Electrical) in Gr. III(4) : 01 post, Pay Scale: Rs. 8,000-275-13,500/-, Age limit : 35 years
6. Technical Staff in Gr. III(1) : 15 Posts, Pay Scale: Rs.4500-125-7000/-, Age limit : 28 years
7. Technicians in Gr. II (1) : 01 post, Pay Scale: Rs. 3050-4590/–., Age limit : 28 years
8. Technicians in Gr. II (1) : 03 Posts, Pay Scale: Rs. 3050-4590/–, Age limit : 28 years
9. Jr. Stenographer in Group- C (Non-Tech.) : 01 post, Pay Scale:Rs. 4,000-100-6,000/-

Application Fee : Application fee of Rs.100/- is payable separately for each post (candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-serviceman and regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee) in the form of Demand Draft in favour of CENTRAL MECHANICAL
ENGINEERING RESEARCH INSTITUTE and payable at SBI, Durgapur (Code No. 0074).
