Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, invites candidates for the following posts on contract basis to appear for Walk-In-Interview on designated dates on 16.10.2014 up to 09:00 AM. post : Scientific Officer, Assistant IT, IT and Systems Administrator

1. Scientific Officer (Sophisticated Instrumentation Centre, SIC) :
No of post : As per Indian Institute of Technology Indore Pannel.
Age Limit : Below 32 Years as on 16.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 25000/- per month consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : BE / B.Tech / MCA with 05 Years or M.Tech with 03 Years of experience. Required Expertise Minimum 02 years of experience in 1) GNU/Linux system administration, 2) setting up complex computing infrastructure, 3) managing DNS, mail services and list servers. Familiarity in handling video content, storage and delivery, as well as knowledge of high performance / throughput systems, clusters would be an added advantage. Expert in acting as System Analyst – Windows.
Desirable : Experience at an IIT, TIFR, IISc or at an equivalent academic institute would be desirable.

2. Assistant IT-in-charge Contractual :
No of post : As per Indian Institute of Technology Indore Pannel.
Age Limit : Below 32 Years as on 16.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 35000 to Rs. 40000/- per month consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : BE / B.Tech / MCA with 03 Years or M.Tech with 02 Years of experience. 3. IT and Systems Administrator Contractual :
No of post : As per Indian Institute of Technology Indore Pannel.
Age Limit : Below 32 Years as on 16.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 45000 to Rs. 56000/- per month consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master of Science / equivalent with minimum one year experience in operation & maintenance of sophisticated analytical instruments.
Desirable : Applicant having research experience at master’s level with publication in peer reviewed journal will be preferred. Experience in handling sophisticated instruments such as Atomic Force Microscopy, Scanning Tunneling Micrscopy, Field Emmision Scanning Electron Microscopy, Confocal Microscopy, Powder XRD, etc., which covers the major area of research in chemistry, life sciences and material science at the institute. The applicant will be responsible for operating more than one instrument at a time with maintenance and also responsible for maintaining their records.
