National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research, NCAOR, Government of India is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the following scientific posts under various projects. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility conditions are invited to attend a walk-in-interview at NCAOR on 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th August 2009 (from 9 AM onwards). The posts are purely temporary and on a project mode basis initially for a period of one year.
1. Research Scientist C : Walk-in-Interview Date: – 17th August 2009, 06 post, Emolument : Rs.34480/-per month. Essential Qualification Experience: Masters degree in Geology/Geophysics/ Oceanography/ Earth Sciences/Marine Sciences/ Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/ Computer Sciences from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Graduation or Post Graduation level. Experience Five years of academic/R&D experience in the relevant field.
2. Research Scientist B : Walk-in-Interview Date: – 17th August 2009, 07 posts, Emolument : Rs.28560/-per month. Essential Qualification: Masters degree in Geology/Geophysics/ Oceanography/ Earth Sciences/Marine Sciences/ Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/ Computer Sciences from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Graduation or Post Graduation level. Experience Two years of academic/R&D experience in the relevant field.
3. Research Associate : Walk-in-Interview Date: – 17th August 2009, 02 posts, Emolument : Rs.16000/-per month. Essential Qualification: Masters degree in Geology/Geophysics/ Oceanography/ Earth Sciences/Marine Sciences/ Physics/ Chemistry/Mathematics/ Computer Sciences from a recognized university with at least 60% marks at Graduation or Post Graduation level.
4. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) : Walk-in-Interview Date: – 18th August 2009, 04 posts, Emolument : Rs.12000/-per month. Essential Qualification: Masters degree in Physics/Remote Sensing/Earth Sciences/ Physical Oceanography or equivalent from a recognized university with 60% marks or more.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years (Res. Sci-C ), 45 years (RA), 35 years (Res. Sci-B) and 28 years (JRF). Age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI norms. Age relaxations may also be considered in case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
