The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), established in 1958, is the apex R&D institute for mechanical engineering and allied disciplines under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) which is an Autonomous Body under the Government of India.
A Walk-in-interview / test will be conducted in the Committee Room of CMERI, Durgapur on 24.03.2008 and 25.03.2008 to select candidates for engagement as ‘CSIR Diamond Jubilee Junior Research Fellow Engineering’. The vacancy position may vary either way. The Internship is meant to be a preparatory phase for the young interns imbibing the spirit of enquiry and learning the tools and techniques of research through participation and doing.
Interview Schedule :
1.Mechanical/ Civil/ Metallurgical Engineering : inteview on 24/03/2008 9.00 am 11.00 am
2.Electronics/ IT/ Computer Science Engg./ Chemistry : 15 posts including above, Interview on 25/03/2008 9.00 am to 11.00 am
Qualification:
Fresh BE/B.Tech. degree holders in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Computer Science/ IT/ Civil Engineering/ Metallurgical Engineering with valid GATE score and desirous to persue Ph.D. A candidate holding M.Sc. degree in Chemistry with valid NET certificate may also apply for CSIR research Fellowship teneble at CMERI, Durgapur.
