National Physical Laboratory, NPL, desires to have qualified incumbents for purely temporary and contractual positions of “Research Associate, Junior Research Fellow and Project Assistants” under the various ongoing externally funded & time targeted sponsored projects and Research Interns under “CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Intern Award Scheme” as given below :-
 
I. Research Assoiciate :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 16000/- plus HRA per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on 25.11.2010.

II. Junior Research Fellow (JRF) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 12000/- plus HRA per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years as on 25.11.2010.

III. Research Intern :
No of Post : 07 posts,
Scale of Pay : (Fixed) Rs. 11500/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 25 years as on 25.11.2010.

IV. Project Assistant Level-II :
No of Post : 09 posts,
Scale of Pay : (Fixed) Rs. 12000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years as on 25.11.2010.

Mode of Selection : In case large number of candidates turn up, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview by a duly constituted Screening Committee. Only the short-listed candidates shall be interviewed by Selection Committee. The panel so prepared will be utilized for engagement as Project Assistants as and when requirement arise.

Eligible candidates may appear together with duly filled-in downloaded Application Form (back-to-back), for “Floating (Walk-in) Interview” National Physical Laboratory, Dr. K.S. Krishnan Marg (Near Pusa), New Delhi – 110012, Dated on 25.11.2010 between 9.00 AM to 10.30AM (candidate will not be entertained after 10.30 AM under any circumstance) in the Auditorium of the laboratory, along-with latest passport size photograph, original and attested copies of all certificates/testimonials. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH, should bring copies of certificates in the proper format issued by the appropriate authority as per the latest instructions issued from time to time on the subject.

Last Date of Application Submission : “Floating (Walk-in) Interview” on 25.11.2010 between 9.00 AM to 10.30AM (candidate will not be entertained after 10.30 AM.
