National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research, NCAOR, The National Centre for Antarctic & Ocean Research (NCAOR), an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, is looking for prospective candidates for filling up the following position under the project. The position is purely temporary and on a project mode, initially for a period of one year. Candidates fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions are invited to attend a walk-ininterview at NCAOR. post : Research Scientist, Junior Research Fellow

A. Project : “Origin of the largest Geoid Low on the Earth” Programme
1. Research Scientist B :
No of post : 01 post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years for Research Scientist B age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI Norms. Age relation may also be considered in case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 (15600-39100) + GP Rs. 5400 + HRA, DA as per GOI norms.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Applied Physics / Geology / Applied Geology / Marine Geology / Marine Sciences /P hysics or equivalent with at least 60% marks at Post Graduation level.

2. Junior Research Fellow :
No of post : 01 post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years for Junior Research Fellow age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI Norms. Age relation may also be considered in case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 12,000/- + HRA as applicable.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Applied Physics / Geology / Applied Geology / Marine Geology / Marine Sciences /P hysics or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level. Two years of academic /R&D experience in the relevant field.

B. Project : “CLCS”
3. Junior Research Fellow :
No of post : 01 post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years for Junior Research Fellow age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI Norms. Age relation may also be considered in case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 12,000/- + HRA as applicable.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Geophysics / Applied Geophysics / Applied Physics / Geology / Applied Geology / Marine Geology / Marine Sciences /P hysics or equivalent with at least 60% marks in the qualifying degree level. Two years of academic /R&D experience in the relevant field.

C. Project : “Southern Ocean Studies”
4. Research Scientist B :
No of post : 01 post 35 years for Research Scientist B age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI Norms. Age relation may also be considered in case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 (15600-39100) + GP Rs. 5400 + HRA, DA as per GOI norms.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Geophysics / Applied
Geophysics / Applied Physics / Geology / Applied Geology / Marine Geology / Marine Sciences /P hysics or equivalent with at least 60% marks at Post Graduation level.

D. Project : / “Hydrothermal Programme”
5. Research Scientist B :
No of post : 01 post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years for Research Scientist B age relaxation to the employees of GOI and SC/ST/OBC as per GOI Norms. Age relation may also be considered in case of exceptionally deserving candidates.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 (15600-39100) + GP Rs. 5400 + HRA, DA as per GOI norms.
