National Institute of Virology, NIV, Microbial containment complex, MCC, Applications are invited for Walk-in-Interview on – 18 th March, 2010 between 9:00 to 12:00 hrs at MCC Pashan, Pune for the following vacancies under Non-Institutional ad-hoc projects.
 
A. “Development of liposome – encapsulated recombinant DNA/protein vaccine(s) for H5N1 and other Influenza viruses.”

1. Research Associate-I :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Doctorate degree in Medicine namely M.D/MS/MDS/M.V.Sc or PhD in Life Sciences, with up to 3 years post doctoral research experience. (1) PhD in Life Sciences
(2) Experience in handling animals and infectious agents in any Institute supported by a certificate by Head of Institution.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 14800/- p.m. Plus HRA As per rules.
Age Limit : Below 40 years.

B. “N.I.V (Microarray Group).”
1. Research Associate-I :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Doctorate degree in Medicine namely M.D/MS/MDS/M.V.Sc or Ph.D in Life Sciences, with up to 3 years post doctoral research experience. (1) Ph.D in Life Sciences / Microbiology / Mole cular Biology or related area. (2) Experience with Microarray data analysis and proficiency in microarray oftware. (3) Good communication skills are essential. (4)Knowledge of microarray design, pre-processing methods, differential expression, and clustering is desirable but not essential.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 17,000/- p.m. Plus HRA As per rules.
Age Limit : Below 40 years.

C. MCC Budget:- (JE Group) :
1. Senior Research Fellow :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology Microbiology, Biochemistry, Zoology, with two years research experience or M.V.Sc/MBBS / M Tech. Laboratory Experience in/Molecular Virology /Biology and Immunology, Cell Culture.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 14,000/- p.m. Plus HRA As per rules.
Age Limit : Below 35 years.
