The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, WBUHS, Applications are invited from Citizens of India for filling up of the under mentioned posts in “College of Medicine and J.N.M Hospital, West Bengal University of Health Sciences”, under ‘The West Bengal University of Health Sciences’, Kolkata.
 
I. Professor :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Pay of Scale : Rs. 37400 to 67000 Grade Pay Rs. 9500/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A. As Associate Professor in the subject concerned for three years in the recognized medical college. B. Minimum of four research publications in indexed / national journals as first author. Or As reader/Associate Professor in the concerned Department for four years in a recognized medical college.
Desirable: Minimum of four research publication indexed in index Medicus / National journal and one research publication in international journal.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 63 years as on 28.2.2010.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37,400 – Rs. 67000 with higher initial of 39990 + Grade Pay Rs. 9500/-.

II. Associate Professor :
No of Post : 05 posts,
Pay of Scale : Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 Grade pay Rs. 8000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A. As Assistant Professor in the concerned subject for four years in the recognized medical college. B. Minimum of two research publications in indexed / national journals as first author. or As Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Department for Five years in a recognized medical college.
Desirable: Minimum of four research publication indexed in index Medicus / National journal.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 63 years as on 28.2.2010.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 with higher initial of Rs. 23250 + Grade pay Rs. 8000/-.

III. Tutor :
No of Post : 01 post,
Pay of Scale : Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 AGP Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS degree from recognized institution and three years experience in the subject in a recognized Medical college as House Staff or MD in Radiodiagnosis from recognized  Institution or PG Diploma in Radiodiagnosis and 1 year experience as House Staff.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 63 years as on 28.2.2010.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9000 to 40500 with higher initial Rs. 15600 + AGP Rs. 5400/-.

IV. Sr. Residents :
No of Post : 09 posts,
Pay of Scale : Consolidated pay of Rs. 24360/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Appointments will be given initially for a period of 1 year which may be extendable upto 3 years.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 63 years as on 28.2.2010.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 24,360/- Per month.

V. Jr. Residents :
No of Post : 05 posts,
Pay of Scale : Consolidated pay of Rs. 19793/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Appointments will be given initially for a period of 6 months which may be extendable upto 01 years.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 63 years as on 28.2.2010.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 19,793/- Per month.
